This two-day Workshop presents, simply and efficiently, the five stages of the Performance Improvement Process, which forms the heart of every successful Human Resource Management System. It is addressed to all executives of the Human Resources department and to the supervisors of all levels, who have come to realise that the development of their personnel is not only an important element of their mission, but also a prerequisite for their own success. The five stages are presented through practical exercises, role-playing and videos from the Greek business reality.

Course Content

STAGE 1: DESCRIBING THE PRESENT CONDITION

• What type of skills do we need our personnel to have, in order to be competitive? In addition to productivity, the soft skills (Time Management, Communication, Friendly Attitude, etc.) that are necessary, depending on the nature of the enterprise, are also examined.
• How are the skills required connected to corporate objectives?
• Do the Procedures or Policies of the enterprise contribute to reduced performance?
• Describing the present personnel performance based the 360-degree performance evaluation system. Tools – Practices.

STAGE 2: DESIGNING THE IMPROVEMENT PLAN

• How are desired performance standards designated? Target-setting rules. Performance measurement indicators.
• What is included in a personnel improvement plan?

STAGE 3: THE COACHING PROCESS

• Coaching as a 4-stage process.
• The secrets of motivation.
• Behaviours that encourage or discourage performance.
• How to use recognition methods? Efficient Bonus allocation Methods.

STAGE 4: EFFECTIVE MEASUREMENT – EVALUATION

• Improvement plan follow-up methods.
• Tools for electronic follow-up of improvement plan progress.
• Evaluation Indicators. Follow-up frequency

STAGE 5: IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES

• Common problems and solution suggestions.
• Personnel enhancement actions.
• Statutory amendments of the development plan
