The ISO 17025 Standard is applied in the creation, organisation and accreditation of measurement, testing and calibrations laboratories.

Accreditation of a laboratory by an independent official body according to standard ISO 17025 means that the laboratory has the technical and administrative abilities required to conduct specific tests, measurements and calibrations according to specific standards or in-house methods, using specific equipment and within specific and declared accuracy limits.

The accreditation of a laboratory is an official recognition of its technical adequacy and credibility, characteristics especially important when running tests that are related to public and private constructions.

The benefits of the application of such a system are:

  • Increase of the laboratory’s prestige on a national and international level,
  • Authoritative results, which the customer (internal and external) can trust,
  • Better organisation of the laboratory,
  • Recognition of personnel’s abilities,
  • Recognition of laboratory equipment’ performance
  • Investigation of the possibilities to improve services rendered
